Philippa Westbury is the Stakeholder Manager for CO2RE and is based at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment, Imperial College London. She helps facilitate two-way engagement between the Hub’s researchers and the broader Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR) community in order to ensure that the research is informed by multiple perspectives, including those of businesses, policymakers, non-governmental organisations, investors and others with an interest in GGR.
An engineer by background, Philippa worked most recently as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Royal Academy of Engineering, providing policy advice to government on a range of topics with an engineering or technology dimension, including net zero, digital technology and the built environment. She managed the National Engineering Policy Centre’s work programme on ‘A systems perspective on the climate challenge’. Prior to that, she worked on built environment policy, research and consultancy projects in various organisations including the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment and the Building Research Establishment.
