George is the Communications Manager for CO2RE, based at the Smith School for Enterprise and the Environment, University of Oxford. George is part of the central administrative team for CO2RE and ensures effective communication of high impact research and engagement to the Programme’s key target audiences. He manages CO2RE’s website, social media, newsletter and public engagement events, and is a first point of call for the media wishing to engage with CO2RE. He is also Communications Manager for Oxford Net Zero, the University of Oxford’s interdisciplinary research initiative on net zero.  

Prior to joining the University of Oxford, George managed Imperial College London’s policy engagement programme. He was responsible for communicating academic research to support evidence-informed policy through events and communications, and managing and developing Imperial’s relationships with key stakeholders in government and the third sector on a range of science policy issues. He also helped establish the comms and engagement around Imperial’s Transition to Zero Pollution initiative. He holds a BA in Modern Languages from the University of Southampton and an MA in International Security from the University of Sussex.
