Postdoctoral Research Associate, Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, University of Oxford

Johanna Arlinghaus works as a Postdoctoral Research Associate on economic policies and incentives at CO2RE. Prior to her PhD at the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change, Johanna worked at the OECD Center for Tax Policy and Administration for more than four years. While at OECD, she designed and led research projects on energy and carbon taxes, and emissions trading systems, in close exchange with national policy makers.

Johanna is an applied environmental economist with a focus on fiscal and climate policy. In her research, she uses econometric methods for causal inference and large micro-level datasets to evaluate policies. At CO2RE, Johanna is particularly interested in the workings of different policy instruments to support Greenhouse Gas Removal.
