Lushanya Dayathilake was a Research Assistant and the Secretariat for the Review of Greenhouse Gas Removal Methods at CO2RE. In this role, Lushanya focused on evaluating both existing and future carbon dioxide removals around the world, in relation to various Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) technologies. As the Removals Review Secretariat, she collaborated with an expert panel, providing support in examining several greenhouse gas removal methodologies currently being demonstrated across the UK, with funding provided by UKRI.
Before joining CO2RE, Lushanya was associated with Environmental Resources Management (ERM) UK, where she worked as a Climate Consultant. In that capacity, she was responsible for supporting companies in developing their paths towards net zero emissions.
Lushanya holds a MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
