Project Assistant

Umme Hani Imani is the Project Assistant for CO2RE, based at the Smith School for Enterprise and the Environment, University of Oxford. She is part of the project’s core research support team, working to implement key systems and procedures to run the project efficiently. She additionally helps organise and deliver public and academic events, assists with communications, and provides other forms of logistical and administrative support for activities across the programme.

Prior to joining the Hub, Umme Hani was reading for an MSc in Modern South Asian Studies at the University of Oxford. She has, in the past, helped conceptualise and facilitate discursive programming, interactive learning initiatives, and communications for cultural platforms such as the Karachi Biennale and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy films in Pakistan, besides serving as the Catalogue Editor for the first Biennale in 2017. Between these roles and joining Oxford, she taught A-Level History and Thinking Skills at the Karachi Grammar School. She holds a BA in History and Philosophy from Mount Holyoke College.
