How long different carbon dioxide removal (CDR) methods can store carbon matters fundamentally for the specific role for climate policy and the optimal governance and regulatory framework. This policy report seeks to map the status quo and propose a typology of policy measures and bundles that can be used to help address the challenging questions on permanence and tradeability in CDR policymaking.
