Review of Biochar Standards: Can Biochar Contribute to Net Zero?

Biochar can draw down atmospheric greenhouse gas emissions by sequestering some of the carbon dioxide for centennial or millennial bases. This report analyses the state of the biochar standards landscape, identifies their alignments and divergences, and highlights gaps where improvements could be introduced.
